Professional Experience
After being admitted to practice in 1990, Michael
Coorey had over ten years experience practising with a
large city law firm in the area of litigation, criminal
law, and dispute resolution.
Michael had a further three and a half years working
for a large insurance company in the area of large
medical negligence claims, which involved litigation and
dispute resolution of seriously injured plaintiff's
claims.
Since establishing C&M Lawyers in 2004, Michael has
consolidated his specialised knowledge and used to good
cause his accreditation as a specialist in the area of
Personal Injury by the Law Society of New South Wales.
His combined experience in acting for
plaintiffs/applicants and defendants/respondents enables
him to bring a balanced and extremely practical approach
to his clients' matters.
Michael is also committed to undertaking community
work and regularly undertakes pro bono work for clients
who are otherwise unable to afford legal representation.
By virtue of his expertise, Michael has also been
asked to present numerous seminars to groups of other
legal professionals.
Michael is a skilled solicitor advocate and regularly
appears in interlocutory matters in various Tribunals,
District, and Supreme Courts.
Professional Background
Michael has a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of
Laws degree from Sydney University. He is admitted as a
solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
